Discipline Plan

 

Communication + Discipline = Trust + Victory

 

  1. We expect you to show up on time

If you are not early, you are late.  Understand that the coaches are going to be very strict with this expectation and if you want to be part of this team showing up on time needs to be a priority.  If you know you are going to be late for a team practice or event we need to be made aware of the tardy ahead of time or it will not be excused.

  1. We expect you to be coachable

Being coachable means being respectful to all members of the coaching staff and not speaking when any of the coaches are speaking.  Being coachable means making noticeable efforts to implement what the coach has just told you.  A coachable player understands that there is always room for improvement, no matter what level you are playing.

  1. We expect you to be here everyday

If you know you are going to be absent for a team practice or event we need to be made aware of the truancy ahead of time, or it will not be excused.

  1. We expect you to be prepared at all times

Just being at practice is not enough; you must come prepared, athletically and mentally.  There are no excuses, if you are not dressed appropriately it is considered and will be treated as an unexcused absence.  Also, coaches should not have to explain things more then twice because playbooks and workouts must be studied and it is expected that they are understood.  Also, if you find yourself not participating you should be watching to gain a better understanding of the task at hand.

  1. We expect you to be a student first

This should be self-explanatory, your primary objective at school is to learn - athletics is a privilege! 

Team Rule à DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO HURT THIS TEAM!

The head coach is the only judge of whether this rule or the above expectations are broken or not.

Failing to adhere to any of the above 5 expectations may also result in removal from practice and/or expulsion from team.  Expectations are there for a reason and they will be met or disciplinary actions will be taken.
